Her professor wanted her to agree with a (probably UN) premise that countries near the equator were necessarily the poorest. She did her research...and concluded that if that were true...North Korea would be rich, and Dubai would be poor. Is it more appropriate to raise ten kyds that you can't feed and watch them starve or raise two well educated, well fed children. Nations have tens of thousands of starving children, their governments can't change it and it's apparent that there's little control over it. Building local infrastructures for organic foods, water, electricity, education, health care and birth care are of paramount importance worldwide. Conspiracy theories abound worldwide, even Bill Gates is being considered to be part of this. I have a friend from Kenya that would disagree with said conspiracies, he's been there, he's seen what Bill and Melinda have done for their country and he couldn't be more happy. Resources are being depleted faster than they can be replenished, as population grow exponentially there is an increase for land, resources and an increase in pollution as well, contributing to global warming and resource depletion.
